What we collect
When you use [sic], we collect:
- Your email address — so we can send you a link to your analysis.
- The text you submit — the content you paste or upload for analysis.
- The analysis output — the report generated from your submission.
Third-party AI processing
Your submitted text is sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) for analysis. Anthropic processes this text to generate your report. We do not control Anthropic's data handling practices. For details on how Anthropic handles data, see Anthropic's privacy policy.
Recommendation: If your text contains sensitive personal information, consider removing or replacing identifying details before submitting.
Payment
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. For information on how Stripe handles your payment data, see Stripe's privacy policy.
Retention
- Email address: Retained for the lifetime of the analysis record, for support and access purposes.
- Submitted text: Retained alongside the analysis so that interactive citations can reference the source. Not shared or used for any other purpose.
- Analysis output: Retained so your link continues to work.
No accounts, no tracking
[sic] does not create user accounts, does not track you across sessions, and does not use cookies beyond what is technically essential to deliver the service.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to your analysis requires a unique cryptographic token (the link we email you). We do not provide a way to look up analyses by email address or any other identifier.
Data deletion
To request deletion of your analysis and all associated data, contact us at the address below. We will confirm deletion within 7 days.
